Early 1900s View of the green with stocks, pre Great War.

The casing of the village water pump can just be seen behind the tree to the right of the stocks and the original gate piers for the entrance to Eydon Hall can be seen beyond the left hand tree. The several fine elms all succumbed to Dutch Elm disease in the 1970/80s with the results that can be seen in KL352. Similar views of the stocks and Green in the 1920s are at KL024 and AP051f. This was issued as a postcard, with the same style of lettering as DK053, before the Great War.
