Edward Carey, in white suit, photographed at the Kan Studio, Durban (South Africa). Edward Carey was a Custom House Official in London, later in Ilford. He was youngest brother to Flora Carey, (KL082) who married Joe Tyrrell. Holidays at his house in Ilford introduced one of their sons, his nephew Syd Tyrrell, to suburban living. Edward looks to be a young man, maybe taken on an early overseas posting c1880s for the Custom House before he married.
