Cars trapped by snow on the Woodford Road, March 29th, 1952.

The party, which had been to a wedding, made it all the way back to Eydon, including climbing Barnetts Hill, but got stuck in drifting snow outside Amos's Garage.

Until the hedges were thinned in the late 1980s, quite light falls of snow cut Eydon off as the snow collected between the hedges and blocked the roads. The car in front, a Morris, belonged to Fred Leadbeater.
