Thomas Kench's builders yard and sawmill between 45 High Street and 30 Lime Avenue (c. 1930s).
The workmen prepare an elm log ready for it to be sawn into planks and coffin boards on the rack bench which was to the left under the shed. Left to right: Charlie Coy, Tom Coy, Harry Steel, and probably John Coy's legs! In the background is thatch roof of cottages adjoining Moravian Chapel.
