A photograph showing Thomas Colton in his garden at North Lodge by the entrance gates to Eydon Hall off the Green.

Thomas came to Eydon in 1914 with Lady Hesketh when she moved into Eydon Hall and had presumably already worked for her at Easton Neston. He was her head groom, and she must have thought highly of him for when she died she left him a legacy of £1,000 with an annuity of £100 per annum with the use of 12 High Street rent free during his lifetime.

Photographer unknown.
