Street party for the Queen's 40th anniversary, 7th June 1992.

This view looks across the High Street from the top of Doctor's Lane. The event was a bring and share tea organised by villagers Frank Fossey and Sue Lodge and all took place between 5 and 7pm. Unfortunately we forgot to close the road so we were spread over the footpath and part of the road. The owner of the red car on the right of the picture could not be found to move it so it was covered with balloons. Standing in front of the car in a red shirt serving tea is Matthew Tasker and in the centre, also in a red shirt is Mick Hawes who shot a video of the event, which EHRG now have.
