A postcard with the view eastward down School Lane in the early 1920s.
The thatched barn below the school was accessed from Welchman’s Farmyard on its north side. Lower down workmen can be seen repairing the garden fence at the front of 2 School Lane (Wakelyn Manor/Tudor House) and on the opposite side of the road a number of milk churns are waiting to be collected outside the lower gate to Rectory Farm.
