Plan of allotments drawn about the 1980s?
A map from  the sale of 14 High Street showing 4 allotments. These allotments probably date from the late 19th century and were initially attached to individual houses in the village. Over the years the owners of 14 High Street had been able to buy 4 of them from reluctant gardeners. This map shows the location of the allotments, to the east of the village behind numbers 10 to 18 High Street. Other allotments in the village were behind 1 to 2 The Green and earlier had also been in the fields called Manitoba and New Zealand.
