The Green & High Street Post Card sent by Joyce Mossop's Mother (Bessie) in 1933/4, This was addressed to her mother in Openshaw, saying she was having a lovely time with beautiful weather up to now and she would be home tomorrow about 11pm. The card shows the Green and the bottom of the High Street, with only one car (a bull nosed Morris) in sight! 5 High Street is still thatched and only one and a half stories high.
