Ann Noble (c.1941/2) standing with her younger sister, Georgina, on the front door step of 11 High Street
This is where they were evacuated and lived with their grandmother in the home of Miss Clara Hemmings during the early war years. Ann recalls sitting on the step as German Prisoners of War were marched along the High Street on their way to go to work on local farms.
