Studio Portrait of John Bromfield, his wife Frances and baby.

As John and Frances had two children, Rosetta in 1867 and Walter in 1875, this could be taken to celebrate the birth of either. However, John’s working clothes (see IB021) and Frances’s frock with its dropped shoulders, look earlier that the smarter clothes worn in IB022 taken in 1874, suggesting that this is Rosetta and was taken in 1868. John was a farm labourer and Frances worked in her mother's laundry at the top of Doctors Lane. This burnt down in 1905 and all the family can be seen in later life cleaning up after the fire in KL001.

Rosetta married Herbert Parish of Culworth (see KL003a).
