Joe was from one side of the two Golby families who lived in Eydon for a great many years.
He was a decorator and postmaster with the village shop at 7 High Street for a good many years. From there he published several postcards of the village included in this archive, including many of those of the Great Fire of Eydon in 1905. As seen in this photograph he was a keen cyclist and formed a local cycling club. He died in 1948 Photo taken by an unknown professional in Northampton.
