Colour Postcard of the north end of the High Street showing the Post Office when it was at what is now 44 High Street.
Published by District View Publishing Company, Leicester. The Post Office was at this location from 19?? until the early 1980s? The shop was then still an off licence advertising Watneys Red Barrel, as well as a General Store. During this time the licensees included the Watts and the Jacksons. In the street there are only two cars, a Mini and MG.
Behind the lady shopping we can see the new bungalow and houses on Preston Road, which were built in 1965.
