Reverse of card mount for cabinet sized picture of Henry Alfred Weston (KL314)
This tells us that the photo was taken by J Pell, of Victoria Road, Woolston, near Southampton. Like many early photographers, Mr Pell seemed to be multi talented, as his card says he is a chemist, a portrait painter as well as an artistic photographer. We are not sure yet when John Pell had his chemist shop in Woolston.
