Fred & Maude Kench with son Donald on holiday at Skegness in 1934. Fred was a partner in the Thomas Kench building firm with his brother George. Maude, before her marriage, was a primary school teacher and brother of Syd Tyrrell, Eydon’s local history researcher and author of two books on Eydon’s history, “ A Countryman’s Tale” and “Syd Tyrrell’s Eydon”.
