The flags and buntings are out again, this time for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953.
Swinging on the gate is Susan Allen, who was born here in 1950. Susan was Kath (nee Edwards) and Bill Allen's first daughter. One difference to the house from when it was decorated for the earlier coronation (KL195) is that the front wall has been rebuilt in crenelated fashion. Some of the capping stones used on the wall were made in the year of Queen Victoria's Jubilee and are signed by the workmen who made them.
