Group of children in fancy dress, mid 1930s.

The group was photographed around Joe Tyrrell & Hope Walker who were dressed for a Royal Wedding (see KL134 for details) possibly on St George's Day. In the days of large families and low agricultural wages, it is always surprising how popular Fancy Dress was in the village. How did their mothers mange to find the time and money to dress up all their children? Where was this taken?

The building in central background has a turret, which should be easy to spot. (Might be the field at the top of Hill View.)
