A group of school children in the garden of 20 High Street, Eydon no doubt gathered by Miss Marchant
Probably taken for a school play dress rehearsal during the second world war when many fund raising entertainments were organised to raise money for the war effort. Miss Marchant was a popular additional teacher at the village school during the war years to help cope with the influx of evacuees and she lodged with Miss Mary Kench at 20 High Street during her stay in the village. The only girl who can be identified is possibly one of the Mold family, Pam or Sheila, who lived at 16 High Street. Photographer: Unknown
