Charlie was the general farm worker / cowman for the Wilks family at Manor Farm.
He lived at 26 High Street which was adjacent to the farmyard (now the site of 28 - 30a High Street). This photo is taken in the farmyard. The child is thought to be Florence Buchanan, who family were regular visitors at the Walkers' house (32 High Street).
Hope Walker's mother was Nanny for the Margisson family in Boddington, Eydon Hall and London, looking after Janet Margisson, Florence (and Emily's)mother. Hope’s father Eric Walker was a chauffeur for the Margissons. Emily is currently (2006/7) an occasional reporter for the BBC. See KL164.
