Eydon High Street with the bottom of Partridge Lane and the Methodist Chapel in the background. In the street another Fancy Dress contest is about to start with two young mothers taking their little girls, both seemingly dressed as fairies to the parade. In this case we know that the lady on the right is Mrs Lucy Edwards with her youngest daughter Kath. As Kath was born in 1927 and looks now about 2 or 3, this must be taken around the end of the 1920s.
We don't have an identity for the mother and daughter on the left. In the background we can see other ladies, include some on bicycles, as well as a (delivery?) van outside the shop and bakery.
