On the right isJohn Arthur’s sister Phoebe Alice Gubbins. John Arthur (1898 – 1972) and Sarah had one son Roy. Sarah died in 1954 and John married again in later life to a lady called Dorothy, however, her health was not good, and she died a very short time after their marriage.
John Arthur worked all his life on the railways, eventually moving up to Gotham in Nottinghamshire where he worked at Rushcliffe Halt and then moving to East Leake station where he became Station Master. Their son Roy was married to Doreen and they had a son named Michael but Doreen also had ill health and died sometime in the 1950s. Phoebe Alice was born in 1905 and in later life married Frederick Colton, a widower from Eydon and they lived at 10 High Street, Eydon. Fred died in 1955 and she died in 1984. See also KL279, KL291a
